DR (BARR.) OLUMUYIWA ADU “CUBANA” ATTENDS ONDO EAST NULGE’S BRANCH ELECTION,CONGRATULATES NEWLY ELECTED OFFICERS

… Lauds Ondo State NULGE President on Internal Democracy

The Ondo East Chapter of National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) played host to the APC Chieftain and Senatorial aspirant in Ondo Central, Dr Barr. Olumuyiwa Adu “Cubana” during the branch election that ushered in a new leadership of the body.

Dr Adu who came to observe the election as a friend of the union appreciated the peaceful conduct of the election, composure of the workers and the leadership attributes of the State President.

In his speech, Dr Adu said, “I came to rejoice with the winners and encourage the workers as a Patron of Akure South Local Government Chapter of NULGE not as a politician.

“I don’t see politics as a business. My political journey was instructed by God, as a calling to support development and humanity.

“At a time, I was afraid of how to combine politics with my tight schedule as a Consultant to the five leading oil companies in the world, but God has been backing me up with strength, resources and credible people.

“I congratulate the newly elected exco members and wish them successful tenure”.

Dr Adu has enjoyed a robust relationship with Ondo State Local Government workers through productive partnerships. He was eulogized by different speakers for his past interventions and empowerment of some of the local government workers.

The Ondo State NULGE President, Comrade Fredrick Aderinlola stated that, “This is the first in the history of NULGE elections where a non- member would be given this kind of special invitation.

“We are not politicians but we strongly support Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s government. We have huge numerical strength which has positioned us as critical stakeholders in any democratic dispensation.

“Sir, we have observed your good deeds and your interactions with us over the years. We are very proud of you. We are ready to identify with you.” Comrade Aderinlola submitted.

Aderinlola advised the new exco on the need for mutual cooperation among the leaders and followers in order to enjoy smooth working relationship and many other welfare benefits.

The elected chairman, Comrade Adewale Nelson appreciated all his supporters and the State President for his leadership style and impartial stance.

He also applauded all the contestants who accepted the outcomes of the election in good faith with maximum maturity.

Praising Dr Adu for his presence and remarkable support for the union all the time, in his “no victor, no vanquished” speech, Adewale promised to effect admirable leadership that will take the Union to an enviable level.

Dr Adu, who was impressed by the display of camaraderie, donated 1 million naira on the spot to celebrate the deserved merriment of the joyous occasion.
