The inauguration of the elected officers of Office and Automated Equipment Technician (OFAETECH) Association and the launch of 100 million Naira office Equipment Secretariat Complex took place on Friday, 19th September, 2025 in Akure.
In his brief remarks as the Chief Launcher of the occasion, Dr Olumuyiwa Adu aka Cubana acknowledged the impact of the technical professionals in the technological development of the nation and the provision of jobs for the teeming youths in the state
He however encouraged them to continually acquire skills that will make them more productive and relevant and assured them that their expertise would attract patronage from the end-users within Nigeria and beyond.
He further stressed that they should key into the various incentives and empowerment opportunities available to artisan groups by the Ondo state and federal governments.
In support of the proposed project, Dr Adu donated 2 Million Naira as a takeoff grant for the construction of the official edifice and promised his further assistance at intervals until the project was completed.
“I plead with all members to contribute in cash and kind to this laudable project as the construction will move faster with the participation of all members.
“I will personally be involved in the supervision of the job to make sure that your dream comes to fruition” . Dr Adu declared.
The newly elected president, Engr. George Bamidele Omode eulogised Dr Adu’s numerous benevolent acts within and beyond the state.
He described Dr Adu as God sent to humanity at the critical period in history.
“We shall forever remain grateful for your generosity and attention given us”.
He however, promised to utilize the generated funds judiciously for the said project while promising to support the political ambition of the APC Chieftain under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC).
