The frontline Aspirant for Ondo Central Senatorial District, Dr Barr. Olumuyiwa Adu “Cubana” has stated that his overseas’ trips will foster unity, love and development among the Akure -speaking communities.
In a video circulated online by his Media Council, which has garnered positive comments from thousands of viewers, Dr Adu advocated cooperation among the speakers of Akure dialect all over the world.
Dr Adu has travelled to the United Kingdom and America in the last couple of months to meet the indigenous socio- cultural groups residing abroad in a significant drive to promote Akure cultural heritage and identity.
Speaking recently at the first anniversary of Akure Descendants Association residing in Indiana in the United States of America, the Akure -born billionaire, urged the members to share useful information, feelings and support as one family, and unite for the common good of their ancestral kingdom.
“Your unity will contribute greatly to the development of our kingdom and to the standard of living of our people.
“I appreciate all of you for the honour as your Grand Patron and I will always be available to render my advice and assistance to your union”, he submitted.
“In the first quarter of next year, I will be in Germany to attend to the similar requests of our brothers and sisters in Western Europe. Their representatives were in Nigeria last month and I had promised them to honour their invitation”, Dr Adu hinted.
Contrary to the proverbial impression that prophets are not usually honoured in their ancestral shores or among their brethren, Dr Olumuyiwa Adu “Cubana” has proved to be an exception to this rule.
His long list of numerous home- based awards and overseas’ recognition from corporate, academic and religious bodies, government and traditional institutions, private sectors, religious denominations, media houses, socio- cultural associations, communities and NGOs have lent credence to his reckoning as a renowned figure and respectable leader with talents, competence, courage, foresight, integrity and outstanding generosity.
Dr Adu “Cubana” has become a household name; a target of pleasant publicity whose impressive interventions in the community development and human capacity building have generated goodwill across the societal strata with astonishing impacts. His views are being sought after because of his global experience, versatility, skills, humility, wisdom and training, serving as a classical inspiration to humanity.
He has acquired a status, in people’s minds, that is associated with respect, great visions and possession of knowledge to achieve long term goals among other great achievements.
In his extemporaneous address, Dr Adu equally advised the present public office holders on the need to display selflessness as a veritable tool to promote peace, growth and stability, and also encouraged the attendees to join hands with the governments in their strides to improve the lives of the citizens.
“The wellbeing of our people, the progress of our communities, and the welfare of the future generations should attract our attention.
We must strive to leave behind a good legacy that will live long after us, irrespective of the number of years we spend on earth”, Dr Adu concluded.
