AREWA COMMUNITY VISITS OLUMUYIWA ADU “CUBANA”, ADVISES APC STAKEHOLDERS AGAINST FIELDING INCOMPETENT, UNPOPULAR CANDIDATES FOR ELECTIONS.

The senatorial ambition of Dr Barrister Olumuyiwa Adu “Cubana” received a strategic boost as representatives of Arewa community in Ondo Central paid him a solidarity visit at his Akure residence on Tuesday, shoring up his grassroots support ahead of the party primaries.

The team was led by Hon. Hamisu Mohammed, the Ondo Central Coordinator of Hausa Community.

The visiting members reiterated their unflinching support for the ambition of Dr Adu and the Government of Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.

In his opening speech, Hamisu stated: “Sir, our group has enjoyed robust relationship with you over the years and have benefitted immensely from your generosity.

“You always identify with us during our events and festivals. You have contributed millions of Naira to promote Islam throughout the State.

“Your recent donation of 10 million Naira for the construction of Sabo-Araromi Mosque in Akure is still fresh in our memory.

“Your have patronized our businesses and empowered our youths and employed many as your personal staff.”

“You’re a de-tribalised leader who has demonstrated leadership qualities and love to all irrespective of their religions and tribes.

“These among other reasons have made us to believe in your capacity to deliver quality representation if you’re given the senatorial mandate. May Allah grant this desire.”

Speaking about their concerns on the new electoral processes of adopting the party candidates, the members counselled the APC stakeholders.

“Though the competitive primaries have been jettisoned for consensus arrangements, we advise APC stakeholders to ensure transparent, fair and inclusive selection procedures.

“The choices of the grassroots should not be be discountenanced while democratic integrity must not be eroded.

“The voices of the masses should be taken into recognition in order to secure favourable electoral verdicts at the polls.”

Responding to this thought- provoking speech, Dr Adu appreciated the visit and his relationship with the team.

“I have already considered you as part of my large family and I will promote your businesses as long as God gives me the strength to do so.” Dr Adu promised.

Dr Adu attributed his success to divine benevolence not by his personal efforts. He admonished men not to boast in their own strength.

“I want to say it without mincing words that I am in the senatorial race to improve the lives of the people and make positive impacts. My political involvement is not for pecuniary benefits.
I am confident that within six months, if elected, I will make a huge difference.” Dr Adu stressed further.

The renowned philanthropist encouraged them to continue their mobilisation drive for APC and for the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Dr Adu later shared words of advice that can assist them individually and collectively, and lectured them on many ways to expand their businesses and develop their capacities- a confirmation of his wealth of experience, competence and versatility.
