Madam Agbeke ‘Rabiat’ Olanipekun aged 100 years was buried on Friday, April 10, 2026 amidst accolades, emotions, thanksgiving, sweet memories and celebration.
The departed Matriarch was the grandmum of Sir Lateef Adebayo, an International business mongul whose outreaches extend to America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australasia.

The events witnessed the esteemed presence of government functionaries, captains of industries, politicians, traditional rulers and spiritual leaders among other guests and family members who came to pay their last respect to the departed Mama and to celebrate her well-lived life.

The invitees were gorgeously dressed and lavishly entertained with music, drinks and food that adequately justified the huge resources that were committed to the planning of the events and organisational dexterity of the event planners.

The thanksgiving service/outing, after interment, took place at Jerusalem Church of the Lord International and Spiritual Headquarters, Ikere Road, Ado Ekiti.
Speaking with the News Trend Correspondents at the venue of the reception, the grandson, Lateef Adebayo described his late granny as a very caring, calm and affectionate person who sacrificed a lot to ensure good upbringing for all her offsprings.

“Mama lived well and enjoyed the grace of long life. During our childhood years and until her demise, we, children looked up to her for direction and guidance. We will always celebrate her legacy of dedication, hard work, integrity and godliness.

“She lived with us for 15 years until her departure to eternal glory. May her kind soul rest in peace,” Adebayo submitted.

The representatives of Aquinas College Akure, Adebayo’s Alma mater, were also part of the special quests that graced the well- attended event which took place at Dove Event centre, Ikere Road, Ado Ekiti.
