LACOT REINFORCES SUPPORT FOR TINUBU, INAUGURATES WARD COORDINATORS IN AKURE SOUTH

Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organisation for Tinubu (LACOT) has continued to reinforce the grassroots support for the second term ambition of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR ahead of 2027 general elections.

In a strategic move for structural consolidation, the inauguration of its Ward Coordinators took place at the Head Office of LACOT, Akure on Tuesday to galvanize the necessary grassroots supports across the 11 political wards of Akure South Local government Area.

In his goodwill message, the LACOT Director General, Hon. Idowu Otetubi, FCA urged the coordinators to work hard in achieving the noble objectives of the group to galvanize support for the 2nd term ambition of President Tinubu.

“We must work hard by wooing the electorate and by promoting the progressive reforms of Mr President among the electorate.

“Be assured of Governor Aiyedatiwa support and his blessings for our task to mobilize grassroots support for our party, for our Governor and for our President.” Hon. Otetubi affirmed.

The group as the only indigenous support group domiciled in Ondo state with teeming members across the 203 wards expressed his solidarity with Governor Aiyedatiwa in driving his people-oriented policies in the State.

In the letters presented to the appointees, the DG acknowledged the distinguished political records and grassroots mobilisation prowess of the wards cordinators while charging them to work assiduously with unbridled loyalty for the actualisation of the 2nd term ambition of President Tinubu.

The former Commissioner stated further that the group would comply with institutional instructions that will be of benefit to the party while hinting on the grand plans to go out with full force after the conduct of the party primaries.

Otetubi assured the members of the group of many benefits and privileges that will be enjoyed when the electoral victory is totally achieved.

Other speakers such as the LACOT Deputy Director General, Dr Barrister Olumuyiwa Adu “Cubana” ably represented by Hon. Ojo Ajayi Abiodun- the former Special Assistant to Ondo state Governor; Hon. Bisi Ogungbemi, the State Secretary- General, and Mr Kayode Fasua, the State Director of Information shared similar sentiments with the DG on the imperative for collective unity, perseverance and sustainability of Tinubu’s mandate, and also encouraged the new disciples to brace up for these responsibilities.

Hon. Lade Fasua, FCA -The State Director of Finance admonished all members to embrace the ongoing digitalization of membership registration exercise and be more aggressive to recruit many more members across the wards.

Akure South LACOT Coordinator, Hon. Sunday Faleye welcomed the party leaders and the chosen ones, charging them not to disappoint the confidence reposed on them.

“You’re nominated by your leaders among thousands of party members. You should not betray their trust in you. There is always a reward in being loyal,” he counselled.

Hon. Lanre Ojo, Ward 8 Cordinator, on behalf of other coordinators, expressed appreciation for the rare opportunity to serve, promising to utilize their expertise to enrich the popularity of the party and all its candidates even beyond Akure South Local Government.

“We will work hard and add electoral values to the political struggles,” he confidently submitted.

In his vote of thanks, Kehinde Omoniyi, Ph.D appreciated the Coordinators for making themselves available for the assignment and spoke on the marketing strategies that will promote the impressive actions of Mr President.

Dr Omoniyi, the Akure South Secretary of the Group, equally pleaded with members to display conducts and engage in issue- based campaigns that will draw positive comments from the members of the public.

Some representatives of the party were presented to grace the memorable event, highlighting the umbilical synergy between the APC hierarchy and the LACOT as a loyal and formidable political support formation.
