The National President of the Afenifere Youth Assembly (AYA), Lekan Owolabi, has commended the renowned philanthropist, Barr. (Dr.) Olumuyiwa Adu, popularly known as “Cubana,” for his generous donation of a multi-million naira medical hostel to the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA).
In a statement made available by LinkAfrica News, Owolabi described the gesture as highly commendable and a significant contribution to the advancement of education and healthcare in Ondo State and Nigeria at large. He noted that the donation would greatly ease accommodation challenges faced by medical students and enhance the institution’s capacity to achieve full accreditation for its medical programmes.
According to him, Dr. Adu’s consistent commitment to community development and humanitarian service stands as a shining example of selfless leadership and patriotism. He urged other well-meaning Nigerians, especially youths and stakeholders, to emulate such acts of generosity for the collective growth of society.
Owolabi further emphasized that partnerships between individuals and institutions remain vital for sustainable development, adding that initiatives like this will have lasting positive impacts on future generations.
He concluded by praying for greater success, good health, and continued prosperity for Dr. Olumuyiwa Adu as he continues to contribute meaningfully to nation-building.
