The registration for 2025 Adu Football Tournament has begun as the sponsor, Dr Barrister Olumuyiwa Adu “Cubana” announces cash prizes for the competitors.
The 3rd Edition of the competition codenamed “Adu Unity Cup” is expected to draw participants from the 18 Local government Areas of Ondo State.
According to the Head of the Local Organizing Committee, Raymond Abdulsalam, the registration of the participating teams has commenced and it will close on the 15th October, 2025 while the main event takes place on the 21st October, 2025 at Akure Township Stadium.
“Dr Adu has made available cash prizes for the winners and different consolation awards for all the competing teams.
“The winner will go home with 1 million naira, the second position will get 500 hundred thousand Naira and the third position will collect 300 thousand. Others will be given different consolation awards”.
The competition will witness the attendance of FIFA- licensed scouting agents, government functionaries, politicians, community leaders, football lovers and members of the public.
This kind intervention will complement the efforts of the government in youth engagement and empowerment as Dr Adu continues to receive accolades from the sports enthusiasts and from many appreciative residents of Ondo state.
Dr Olumuyiwa Adu’s impressive display of humility, competencies and purposeful leadership through capacity building, community development and philanthropy has fueled agitations for his Ondo Central Senatorial aspiration under the Platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), knowing fully well that his representation will bring remarkable lustre, progress and prosperity to humanity.
